Andrew Charleson was born in London, trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and with the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

He has been seen on television most recently in the new BBC comedy "All along the Watchtower" and before that in Lynda La Plantes new drama serial "Supply and Demand".

Other T.V. work has included roles in "This Life", "Next of Kin", "Crime Limited", "Family Life", "Seekers", "Stay lucky", "The Bill", "Rough Justice", "House of Elliot", "Memento Mori", "Lazarus and Dingwall", "No Place Like Home" and most enjoyably as Del-boys dentist in "Only Fools and Horses".

Andrew spent two years as Gerald in the West End production of "Me and My Girl" at the Adelphi Theatre, singing and (believe it or not!) tap-dancing his way through The Sun Has Got His Hat On for over 800 performances.

His most memorable season was being directed by Alan Ayckbourn in his trilogy of plays "The Norman Conquests" at Scarborough.

Other theatre work has included tours of "Breezeblock Park" and "The Other Side of Chris Barrie", Jack in "The Importance of being Earnest" in Oxford and Touchstone in "As You Like It" at Regents Park. Hes also been in "Stealing the Scene" at The man in the Moon, "Twelfth night" at St Georges, "Brylcreem Boys" at The Young Vic, "Red Magic" at Pentameters, and a tour playing Arnold in "The Perils of Arnold Hardstaff!"

Andrew appeared in Derek Jarmans controversial film "Edward II" and briefly with Robin Williams in a Bill Forsyth/David Puttnam film "Being Human".
